Tour of the Jasper Johns Exhibit

Docent-lead tour Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror at The Whitney Museum of American Art

We are pleased to be able to offer a tour of the current Jasper Johns exhibit at The Whitney Museum of American Art lead by CHV members and Whitney Docents Roberta Krakoff and Gail Casale.  Jasper Johns: Mind/Mirror is the most comprehensive retrospective ever devoted to Johns’s art. Featuring his most iconic works along with many others shown for the first time, it comprises a broad range of paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures from 1954 to today across two sites. Conceived as a whole but displayed in two distinct parts, the exhibition appears simultaneously at the Whitney and at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, two institutions with which Johns has had long-standing relationships.

The tour is on January 12 at 11:30 AM.  Members wishing to attend must buy their own timed-admission tickets from the Museum’s website.  Senior tickets are $18.  Tickets should be purchased for 11:30 AM entry or earlier and can be purchased using this link: Whitney Museum Tickets.  We will meet in the lobby of the museum at 11:30 AM.

The tour is limited to 10 people, and you must be masked and bring proof of vaccination and a photo ID.  If you wish to attend, you can register by clicking on the green REGISTER button below.
