Gracie Mansion Tour

It took a while to schedule with the city, but in the end, 25 CHV members enjoyed an excellent tour of Gracie Mansion, the Mayor's official residence, whose handsome grounds look out over the East River. Happily, our group found their docent to be interesting and very well informed about both the history of the Mansion and its many artifacts (no small compliment, since a couple of the CHV guests present are accomplished docents in their own right.) In addition, the group enjoyed the exhibition of 20th and 21st century women artists and photographers currently on display throughout the public rooms, regarding which the docent was also most enlightening.
