INTRODUCING MONDAY One Plus One at 11:00
To ring in the New Year, we invite you to join us for our first MONDAY One Plus One at 11:00. The Wednesday schedule will continue, but many CHV members have asked for a second chance during the week to enjoy a leisurely morning walk in Central Park.
If you have a conflict on Wednesdays or wish to add another day for fresh air exercise, please connect up with our Monday group for One Plus One at 11:00 on Monday, January 4, 2021.
Anyone may show up at the north side of the Engineer's Gate (Fifth Avenue and 90th Street) where we will meet at 11:00am wearing masks to walk about a mile together at whatever pace suits you. We encourage everyone, whether you use a walker or your own two feet, to stroll along with us.
Before starting, we break into smaller groups, often duos or trios, traveling at different paces to accommodate everyone. This arrangement gives us the opportunity to meet up with old and new friends while chatting together 6 feet apart as we enjoy the seasonal beauty of the park.
No need to let us know in advance; you may decide at the last minute and just show up. Whenever there is inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow), we will send out an email postponing the walk until the next week.
