Liz Krueger's Virtual Senior Resource Fairs

For the past 15 years, New York State Senator Liz Krueger has welcomed the fall season with an Annual Senior Resource Fair.

This year Senator Krueger's office is offering three days of VIRTUAL fairs from 2:00 - 3:30pm to engage the heart, body and creative spirit on:

  • Tuesday, October 25, 2022

  • Wednesday, October 26, 2022

  • Thursday, October 27, 2022

You may choose to attend one, two or all three events.  Participants will be able to join the event(s) online through Zoom, through Facebook, or by listening in by telephone if you do not have access to an electronic device.  Once you register below, you will receive a confirmation email with links to Zoom or Facebook or the telephone call-in number.

A description of each virtual fair with a list of panelists follows:

1) Reach Out Beyond Loneliness: How to Begin to Build Networks and Find Community on Tuesday, October 25th from 2 pm - 3:30 pm
Research shows that loneliness can affect your mental and physical health. Learn how you can address isolation and find out how to access resources to build your social networks and find community. Today’s event features our own CHV Board member, Alden Prouty, on the panel.

2) Essential Movement for Older People: Keeping the Body Strong and Healthy on Wednesday, October 26th from 2 pm – 3:30 pm

Put on some comfortable clothes to stretch and build balance, strength, and endurance, and learn how fitness and meditation can contribute to your overall wellness.

3) Engage in the Arts: Nurture Your Creative Spirit
on Thursday, October 27th from 2 pm – 3:30 pm

It’s important to age creatively. Learn about programs where you can foster your artistic spirit through dance, theater, and the fine arts.

These fairs provide older adults with a wonderful opportunity to learn about programs and resources in their own neighborhoods.
