Tour of Hopper Exhibit at Whitney Museum
The Whitney's exhibition, "Edward Hopper's New York", views Hopper's work through the lens of New York, his home for nearly six decades (1908-67). His fascination with the city informs this comprehensive look at Hopper's life and work. Drawn from the Whitney's large holdings and amplified by key loans, the show is informed by material from the Museum's recently acquired Sanborn Hopper Archive. By exploring Hopper's work with a focus on New York, the exhibition offers a fresh take on the artist, and shows the city itself as a lead actor.
You are invited to join Roberta Krakoff and Gail Casale, CHV members and Whitney docents, for a tour of this show on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 12:30PM to 2:00PM. The group will be limited to 15 people. Each attendee who is not a Whitney member must purchase a senior ticket for $18.00, either on line or on site. Face masks are optional, but the Museum strongly encourages visitors to wear them.
