Memory & Aging: Assessing Cognitive Functioning, Memory Fitness, and Current Research. A Talk by Dr. Jane Martin

Dr. Martin, Associate Professor, Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology and Director, Neuropsychology Center, at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai will discuss Memory & Aging: Assessing Cognitive Functioning, Memory Fitness, as well as Current Research on the subject of memory.

Memory loss is something that concerns all of us as we age.  When is it a normal aspect of aging and when is it something to be concerned about?  Dr. Jane Martin will address this question and more in a talk for CHV members, Memory & Aging: Assessing Cognitive Functioning, Memory Fitness, and Current Researchon Tuesday, October 3 at 4pm.

Dr. Martin is Associate Professor, Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology and Director, Neuropsychology Center, at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  She is also a neuropsychologist at Mt. Sinai’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center where she participates in education, recruitment, training and research.  Dr. Martin’s talk will include tips and strategies for retaining memory as we age.  Dr. Martin will also describe various clinical trials that are being conducted at Mount Sinai’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.

This talk will be held in The Living Room on the third floor of The Brick Church Parish House: 62 East 92nd Street between Madison Ave and Park Avenue.  There will be an opportunity for members to gather afterwards for discussion of what they have heard.
