Whitney Biennial 2024

The Whitney Biennial 2024 – “Even Better Than The Real Thing” -- features seventy-one artists and collectives grappling with some of today's critical issues.    This is the eighty-first edition of the Biennial, the longest running survey of contemporary art in the United States.   It opens an unparalleled window on current artistic exploration.   This edition considers the ways in which Artificial Intelligence complicates our understanding of what is real, the fluidity of identity, the precariousness of the natural world, and other key issues.   

On Thursday May 16, CHV Board Member and Whitney Docent Roberta Krakoff will lead a tour of the exhibit.   The tour will start at 11:00AM.  If you would like to join the tour, press the green button at the bottom of this page.   The number of attendees will be limited to 10, but if the website shows that the tour is full, please do register to have your name added to the waitlist – places often become available because of cancellations.
