Tour of The Morgan Library

Please join us for guided tour of The Morgan Library & Museum.

The Morgan Library was begun in the early 1900’s and has the art and literature collected by J. Pierpont Morgan, one of the United States pre-eminent cultural benefactors. The collection includes drawings, literature, photography, rare books and the arts of the ancient and medieval world. Included are examples from masters such as Gutenberg, Mozart, Mark Twain, Picasso, Irving Penn and Georgia O’Keefe. Please join us for a one hour guided tour of the museum. 

After the tour please to stay to explore the temporary exhibition, A Lively Mind: Jane Austen at 250. Included will be artifacts from her home in Chawton, and manuscripts, books and artworks that present a new perspective on Austen’s literary achievements. 

Lunch or high tea is available in The Café in the glass enclosed central court. 

The tour is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24 at 11:30 AM and is limited to 10 people.  The cost of the tour is $15.00, which should be paid at the time of registration, in accordance with CHV’s registration policy.
