Neighborhood Lecture on Fall Prevention & Recovery

Co-sponsored with Carnegie Hill Neighbors, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Council Member Keith Powers

An enthusiastic crowd of Carnegie Hill Seniors filled the room at the House of the Redeemer on East 95th Street to hear Dr. Robert Curran of the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center share practical ways to avoid falls, identify hazards, and get up properly after a fall occurs.

The event was co-sponsored by Carnegie Hill Neighbors and local City Council Member Keith Powers.

In addition to his practical tips, Dr. Curran, Injury Prevention and Outreach Coordinator, Trauma Program, NYP/Weill Cornell, also offered two sources for those seeking additional information on this important subject for seniors:

To request information about classes designed to help build resilience, please call Dr. Curran at  917-385-0624 or email him at [email protected]

For other information, call the main Trauma Center number directly at 212-746-1883.

Many thanks to our co-sponsors for helping to make this enlightening event possible.
